Black American Princess & Prince (BAPP) pageants are open to Illinois Residents. The pageant will take place Saturday, June 18 in conjunction with the Lincoln Juneteenth Festival. In addition to in-person registration, registration can be completed online by clicking here.
This sale is an opportunity for individuals or businesses to sell their old treasures in exchange to be recognized as an honorary sponsor for the upcoming Juneteenth Festival in Lincoln.
Black American Princess & Prince (BAPP) pageants are open to Illinois residents. The pageant will take place Saturday, June 18 at the Lincoln Elks Club in conjunction with the Lincoln Juneteenth Festival scheduled for Sunday, June 19.
The parade will leave from Scully Park (one block south of downtown Lincoln) and proceed to the Logan County Fairgrounds for the Juneteenth celebration.
The Hunt for Foundation host the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Festival of Lincoln, Illinois. Juneteenth is also known as “Black Independence Day” or “Freedom Day” and is now recognized as a federal holiday. Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the emancipation of slavery.
Participants can walk or run at their own pace at this event which will raise fund for Lincoln's upcoming Juneteenth Celebration. Participants are encouraged to wear protective eye gear and prepare to be splashed with powdered color throughout their walk/run. The powdered colors will show up best on white shirts.
