Troy Davis bases his comedy on unique life experiences, which is good, because this way he knows nobody else is stealing his act. As a middle-aged man, former bricklayer and father of a gay son and two daughters, Troy has a lot of material to work with that everyone can relate to. Troy’s comedy is clean and funny. When you mix that in with his instantly likable stage presence, you’ve got yourself a show for the entire audience, especially those who understand his blue collar variety of comedy. “There are just a lot of good, regular folks in the Midwest,” he said. “I’ve always received a good crowd response. They just seem to get my jokes and find it relevant.” Much of Davis’ comedy focuses on his children, including the trials of parenting and going through four divorces.
