Snowshoes & schnapps event at Sugar Grove Nature Center in rural McLean

Dick Smith of WildCountry and Patti Koranda will teach you snowshoeing by helping you find a good fit then teaching you to maneuver and float on the snow. Afterwards, warm up by the fire with hot apple cider plus cinnamon schnapps or hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps, and plenty of snacks! The use of snowshoes will be provided by WildCountry or bring your own. If there is no snow, participants will learn on the lawn in order to be prepared for the next snowfall. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Registration must be completed by January 15.
