Sirup for Scouts event at Sugar Grove Nature Center in rural McLean

Scout troops (and other youth organizations such as 4H) of up to 20 people can participate in this educational event. Groups will be kept in their own party for the duration of the event to maximize physical distancing and reduce interactions with others.
Tours will be held outside. Proof of vaccination required upon arrival for all participants, ages 5 and up! Masks are required for all participants ages 3 & up.
Attendees can gather around the fire at the sirup camp to learn how Native Americans and early settlers collected and prepared sap as well as visit the Sugar Shack where the smell of maple sirup hangs in the air. Participants can also venture into the sugarbush to tap a tree.
Tours start every half hour beginning at 9:30 AM and last approximately 2.5 hours. The last tour begins at 11 AM. Advanced registration is required and payment is due at the time of reservation. There are only 4 tour times, with one party per tour.
Fees:
Group size up to 5 persons: $50
Group size 6-10 persons: $75
Group size 11-15 persons: $100
Group size 16-20 persons: $150
