Moses Pinkerton Gallery opening and dedication (ribbon cutting @ 5:30 PM) at Lincoln Arts Institute

The public is invited to the opening and dedication of the Moses Pinkerton Art Gallery, which has been renovated and is located on the third floor of the Lincoln Arts Institute.

Pinkerton, whose given name was Anton Michael “Toby” Prange, served as curator at the Lincoln Art Institute. He was the creator of The Cow In The Corn, a 22-foot tall by 25-foot wide sculpture erected in 2014 near 128 S. Sangamon Street in Lincoln. Pinkerton was instrumental in creating an art community in Lincoln. He passed away June 24, 2020.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 PM. An open-themed show by Lincoln Arts Institute members will be on display in the gallery.
