Live comedy by headliner Al Nimpson featuring Joe Lancey at Mason City Limits Comedy Club

Al Nimpson is a member of Capital City Improv and performs shows under the banner of Belly Laffs Comedy with fellow comedian Tim Laffey.
It was while listening to an interview with comedian Hannibal Burress that Al found the inspiration to get on stage for the first time. “He said that if you want to do stand up comedy, you just have go out there and do it. So I made a promise to myself that once I turn 21 I would start doing comedy. I went to an open mic. I made sure to tell no family or friends because if I bombed I’d wanted to have no evidence.” Unfortunately at his first open mic, two of his best friends were in the front row and Al froze without telling a single joke.

Joe “The Animal” Lancey is one of St. Louis’ most well known comedian. Joe got his nickname while being a Golden Gloves Boxer and an Animal Control officer. His most recent material focuses on his diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease.
