Kids Art Series at Lincoln Arts Institute

Week 1 (4/11/2022) – Free Art Zone
Do whatever the heck you want to do! Free art period. Students will be supplied with a multitude of arts and crafts supplies, then left to their own imagination to create masterpieces!
Week 2 (4/18/2022) – Marbled Shaving Cream Earth
Aluminum/plastic trays, paper, green and blue paint, cardboard, scissors, plastic knives Fill tray in front of student with shaving cream, have them smooth the surface. Drip green and blue across shaving cream, swirl with sticks. Place circle paper on marbled pattern, lightly press, remove from shaving cream. Students scrape excess shaving cream and paint off with slices of cardboard. Marbled Shaving Cream Earth
Week 3 (4/25/2022) – Recycled Newspaper Watercolor Flower Frame
Watercolor colors abstract across newspaper. Cut desired frame or shape from cardboard. Cut circles of varying sizes from painted newspaper, then glue onto cardboard in layers (lg circles bottom, sm circles top) creating 3D flowers.
