Fundraiser campout to raise awareness about veterans homelessness by Central Illinois Veterans Commission at Memorial Park in Lincoln

To raise awareness of veteran homelessness, CIVC is participating in creating a mock homeless encampment where participants will camp for the night in cardboard boxes.
This event takes please in Memorial Park from 6 PM on Friday, April 24 to 9 AM on Saturday, April 25.
Participants pay a fee for a box they can turn into a shelter for the night. Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 but all donations will be accepted. In addition, teams may participate, raising dollars through sponsorship. All proceeds go to CIVC to help pay for a tiny home for a veteran.
