Beginner dance lessons/dance event at Atlanta Public Library

$5 – $20
The Atlanta Public Library District is offering a day of dance lesson workshops capped off with a couples date night lesson/dance in the evening. Proceeds raised from the day of activities will benefit the Humane Society of Logan County.
Each one hour afternoon lesson costs $5 per person ($15 total for all three sessions) or a donation to the HSLC. The schedule for the afternoon is:
12:45 PM – Doors open
1 PM to 2 PM – Ballroom 101
2:15 PM to 3:15 PM – Latin 101
3:30 PM to 4:30 PM – Beginner West Coast swing dancing
The “date night” portion of the activities takes place from 7 PM to 9 PM. Cost is $20 per couple. Kids programming will be offered during the evening.
Schedule of dance activities includes:
6:45 PM – Doors Open
7 PM to 7:30 PM – Waltz
7:30 PM to 8 PM – Rumba
8 PM to 8:30 PM – East Coast swing dancing
8:30 PM to 9 PM – Social practice dance
