Basics of painting class for kids at Lincoln Arts Institute

This class is the second in a series of three classes introducing kids to painting.

Week 2 – Paintbrush Practice Students will learn and practice the intended uses/techniques of various paintbrushes.
Week 3 – Color Gradients Participants will learn about blending paint colors on paper from light to dark, as well as primary colors to secondary colors.
The Week 1 class topics was the color wheel. Participants learned how colors mix, match, and oppose one another. The class is designed for students to learn the difference between primary and secondary colors and how they relate to one another on the color wheel. Students practiced mixing and blending colored paints to create and discovering new colors on their own.
