4-H Food Science Fun events (Session 1 of 2 at 4 DeWitt County sites) at Farmer City Public Library

4-H Food Science Fun is a free food science event held at DeWitt County libraries open to youth entering grade 3 and up.
The first session will be Food Science 101 where participants will use garlic salt to investigate the connection between smell and taste. Attendees will also pop popcorn on the cob and create flavorings with a slogan and advertisement.
The second session will be Food Science 201 where attendees will use different leavening agents to blow up balloons. Participants will also make unleavened bread and butter.
There are 4 location options:
- Waynesville Township Library, 303 2nd St in Waynesville on June 7 and Aug 4 from 2 PM to 3 PM
- Vespasian Warner Library, 310 N Quincy St in Clinton on June 21 and 28 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Farmer City Public Library, 109 E Green St in Farmer City on July 26 and Aug 2 from 10 AM to 11 AM
- Weldon Public Library, 505 Maple St in Weldon on July 27 and Aug 3 from 10 AM to 11 AM
