2026 Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Park District Independence Day celebration at Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Park District in McLean

The annual Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Park District Independence Day Celebration takes place at the park district. Decorated golf carts and bikes should line up on the walking track for the 3:30 PM parade. Dinner and activities start at 4 PM. Dinner and concessions are cash only; with face painting, henna, foam party, sensory trailer, inflatables, water slides, games, and music activities are free.

The park district will sell a pulled pork meal for $9, ribeye meal for $10 and a kid’s hot dog meal for $5 along with other concessions. In addition, Sonshine Daycare Center will be selling walking tacos and the American Legion will be selling lemonade shake ups.

Fireworks will begin at dusk.
