Red carpet gala at the Arlee Theater in Mason City

This event celebrates 88 years of existence for the Arlee Theater.

Doors for this “formal attire optional” event open at 6 PM. Guests will be invited to walk the red carpet and pose for photos before entering the theater. Near the stage, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, sparkling mocktails, browse a small selection of silent auction items, and have one last chance to enter the grand prize raffle (need not be present to win).

At 7 PM, the silent auction and raffle winners will be announced, and guests will be invited to stay for a showing of the 1936 hit My Man Godfrey.

The grand prize being raffled off is a weeklong stay at a one or two-bedroom cabin at Helliar’s Resort in Nestor Falls, Ontario, as well $550 in prepaid Visa gift cards (courtesy of Cordelio Power and an anonymous donor) to assist with any related travel expenses. Raffle tickets cost $10 each and can be purchased at the theater during normal operating times, as well as at the beginning of the gala.

In addition, tickets for this gala event are available at the theater during normal business hours and cost $30 for individuals or $50 per couple. Tickets can also be purchased online with a small surcharge to cover related web fees.
