Informational meeting (Part 1) by FosteringGrace about becoming a foster parent at Crossway Church in Lincoln

Fostering Grace is hosting a Basics to Becoming a Foster Parent Info Meeting. The meeting is intended for adults who are interested in becoming a foster parent. It doesn’t matter whether you’re single, married or somewhere in between.

Complete information will be shared through two one-hour meeting sessions:
Part 1 – Thursday, March 20 from 6 PM to 7 PM OR Sunday, March 23 from 2 PM to 3 PM
Part 2 – Thursday, March 27 from 6 PM to 7 PM OR Sunday, March 30 from 2 PM to 3 PM

Meetings take place at Crossway Church, located at 2316 N. Kickapoo Street in Lincoln.

• Those applying to be foster parents must pass a federal background check in order to be considered

Due to the high volume of information, the meetings are being split into two sessions. Part 1 meetings introduce some of the basic information while Park 2 follows up on items introduced in Part 1 as well as providing more details about fostering.

It is recommended that interested persons attend both Part 1 & Part 2 events (even if they feel they know what is being covered).

• Different types of case workers
• what age child will be the best fit in your home?
• what do the kids call you?
• the Phone call & questions to ask
• how do the kids get to you?
• ER/doctor/dentist
• vouchers/Monthly Stipend
• daycare/Babysitting
• schooling/Vacation
