Dan Chopin headline comedy performance in Mason City

Growing up as the youngest of a large, loud family, Dan Chopin learned at an early age that in order to be heard, you had to speak up. He quickly followed that life lesson with the realization that you also had to have something interesting to say. Chopin isn’t lacking in either of these traits. Dan started stand-up in St. Louis in 1987 while studying acting and advertising at the University of Missouri. He moved to LA in the late 80s and landed a regular spot at the Improv in Hollywood, and was soon being booked to headline across the country.

Chopin delivers a fast-paced comedy show driven by a steady barrage of topical jokes, clever comedy songs, hot guitar licks and spit-your-drink funny observations. Dan will keep you laughing and whistling along with his infectious sense of humor, his crazy songs and his hysterical rants about the world around us.

Dan has appeared on MTV’s Half-Hour Comedy Hour, The Bob and Tom Show, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, SHOWTIME’s Comedy Club Network, The Dr. Demento Show and PBS’s Comedy Tonight. Dan’s work in film includes HBO’s The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader Murdering Mom with Holly Hunter and Alice Upside Down with Luke Perry. He also has over 20 years’ experience headlining comedy clubs, college shows and corporate events coast to coast.
