DESCRIPTION:CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers act as a stable\, consistent adult in a child’s life while they navigate the challenges that come with the child welfare system. CASA staff members will be at the Lincoln Public Library on May 23 from 11:30 AM to 2 PM to provide information to those interest in learning about volunteering as a CASA advocate for foster children in the community. \nExperiencing foster care can be challenging time for children and families\, but a CASA volunteer can be a trusted adult that advocates for their best interests during this journey. \nPersons interested in learning more about CASA but can’t make it to this event can schedule a video chat with a recruiter at another time; click here to book a time to speak with CASA recruiter/trainer Paige Malloy through Microsoft 365.
