Wilderness first aid for outdoor professionals at Sugar Grove Nature Center in McLean

This class is designed for individual 15 years of age or older and who work or volunteer in the outdoors. This training will focus on best practices in response, steps, and treatment of injuries and illness when help is delayed.
Rich Harden and Gabrielle Martin, certified Wilderness First Aid Instructors with more than 20 years of experience in scouting high adventure programs, will lead participants in lecture instruction, skills practice, and role-playing scenarios throughout the day.
Participants should dress for the weather and be prepared for outdoor activity.
Cost is $10 per person and covers the costs of instruction, materials and lunch.
