WLCN is preparing to cover the postseason runs of the Lincoln Community High School Lady Railers and Railer boys basketball teams. With the unbeaten Lady Railers currently ranked No. 2 in the state, and the boys notching another 20-win season, both teams are poised to make it deep into the Illinois High School Association postseason tournament.
The IHSA charges the media fees to broadcast and livestream postseason games, and WLCN is looking for sponsors to help make it possible to cover all the LCHS girls’ and boys’ tournament games.
Teams continue playing as long as they keep winning, so in the best-case scenario (both teams making it to the state finals), that would mean WLCN would cover around 14 postseason tournament games (the exact number depends on seedings for the tournament, which will be released later this month). WLCN is offering sponsors the chance to get the name of their organization in front of the passionate LCHS fanbase by supporting WLCN’s postseason tournament coverage. Sponsors can choose to sponsor a fixed number of games or the entire tournament run for either or both teams.
